1161 Thessalia is a main belt asteroid orbiting the Sun. Approximately 30 kilometers in diameter, it makes a revolution around the Sun once every 6 years. It was discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg, Germany on September 29, 1929. Its provisional designation was 1929 SF.[1]
